DOCETAXEL injection is indicated for treatment of patients with 1) locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer after failure of prior chemotherapy, and in combination with doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide for the adjuvant treatment of patients with operable node-positive breast cancer; 2) locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer after failure of prior platinum-based chemotherapy, and in combination with cisplatin for the treatment of patients with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who have not previously received chemotherapy for this condition; 3) metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer in combination with prednisone; 4) advanced gastric adenocarcinoma, including adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction, who have not received prior chemotherapy for advanced disease; and 5) locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck in combination with cisplatin and fluorouracil.
